About this walk Head off on this short uphill walk in beautiful Bright, 3.5 hours north-east of Melbourne, and be rewarded with incredible views. This return walk is 1.6km and will take around one hour to complete. After a steep climb, reach Huggins Lookout and take in stunning panoramic views of Bright along the Ovens Valley towards Porepunkah.

Vienna is situated on the western edge of the Vienna Basin, on the gentle slopes of the Vienna Woods, a branch of the foothills of the Alps. We accidentally ended up driving to the lookout itself where there really isn't a car park. We then hiked 4km up to mystic launch, very dusty with cars and 4wd etc.

Huggins Lookout Zig-zag your way up this steep hiking trail to Huggins Lookout, where you'll find incredible views over Bright township and the Ovens Valley. Return via the same route. Description A great hike close to the town of Bright, located in the Alpine Region of north east Victoria. The trail begins from the corner of Zivan Circuit and Deacon Avenue. The trail itself is relatively short and gradual climb that gains just above 100 metres of elevation, featuring a nice view over the town of Bright.

Although uphill, the track is well formed and the regular switchbacks take the sting out of any steep climb. 1.6km return and with no steps or rock hopping required it is suitable for all fitness or experience.
