2811568. Catalogue. Upgraded with 1954 Hudson Hornet 308-cid inline six-cylinder engine. Has twin carburetors, dual exhaust and Hydra-Matic transmission. Totally restored approximately five years ago, less than 200 miles since. Top of the line Commodore trim and leather interior, clear coat on paint. One of only 67 1942 Hudson pickups produced.

It has been in a ladys garage for 45 years. There are also many more hudson parts stored with the truck. The truck is very solid. The engine is complete but it is out of truck.

Only two models were available in 1942 before all auto production was shut down for the war effort. The final '46 and '47 models were available only in the "Big Boy" configuration, although that name was not used on the post-war trucks.

The 1942-'47 Cab Pickup's body appears to have been derived from earlier Super Six sedan body panels, as the trucks have exposed running boards. The grille seems to have been updated to resemble Hudson's post-war cars, however. From a driver's standpoint, having the cockpit of a passenger car isn't necessarily a bad thing.
