Started in April 2015 and completed last January, the restoration works performed on the Fontana dei Leoni have enhanced the enchanting heart of the scenographic piazza del Popolo. After 20 years from the last restoration occurred around 1997-1998, when the monumental complex of the piazza was converted to a pedestrian area, the conservation state of the fountain wasn't very good.

Jun 2013. The fountain is right next to the Duomo so you will surely see it while you visit. There are banks to sit down and relax, it is like a little park. In the night it is far more elegant with the lights. Great place to feel the fresh air. The lions are really realistic. Definately a must see. Suggest edits to improve what we show.
