Luckily, the Convento de San Esteban was one of the churches which remained opened on a Sunday afternoon. We were passing by and stopped to admire the magnificence of the 16th century golden Plateresque façade without any hope to get inside, but, surprisingly, the Dominican church was opened and for a minimal charge of 4 Euros we had an hour left in the day to enjoy its beauty.
