Preparation. Be sure you have clean, sterilized glass jars - lid and jar can be sterilized by boiling in hot water for a minute. After harvesting, rinse bull kelp stipe in cold fresh water and rub off any debris or sand. Cut stipe into ¼" rings. Cut onion into ¼" rings and cut rings in half.

2-3 cloves garlic. 2-3 Tablespoons lemon juice. ¼ cup nutritional yeast. ½ cup nuts and/or seeds (I like Brazil nuts, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds) ¼ cup hemp seeds. 3 Tablespoons Bull Whip Kelp powdered/ground. Combine everything in a high-speed blender. Blend and add more olive oil as needed to make a creamy basil.
