With the coronavirus pandemic continuing to intensify, movie theaters around the country remain closed. Drive-in movie theaters are booming, however, so it's great time to look at what drive-in movie theaters are in our area. I've collected a list of 7 drive-in movie theaters in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The Eric Newark Drive-In opened as a single screen theatre on August 20, 1969 with George Segal in "Bridge at Remagen" & Bill Travers in "Ring of Bright Water". It had a capacity for 1,000 cars. In the early-1980's two more screens were added. A Ford dealership is now located on most of the land that this former drive-in once occupied.

According to the map above and Google maps, the theatre is north of the woods (that are still there, BTW.) I'm just saying with current mapping the drive-in was not.

The Bear Drive-in is the only operating drive-in movie theater in the state of Delaware. Before the opening of the Bear Drive-in, the last drive-in in Delaware closed back in 2008. Normally, admission prices are $15 for adults, $11 for children and free for kids 4 and under.
