Fresh pineapple juice is terrific. it also is a major pain. I agree that Dole in the can has a "cooked" flavor. As many other here have said the Trader Joe's Cold Pressed Pineapple Juice is excellent. If you don't have a Trader Joe's anywhere near where you live, Lakewood Organic PURE Pineapple Juice in the bottle is also excellent.

This cold pressed pineapple juice is way better than the canned pineapple juice and has a more prominent fruity taste without tasting watered down like the cans sometimes taste like. Each bottle is $2.99 and I will be enjoying this cold pressed juice all summer long. It's great in a cocktail as well!

But, absent a side-by-side comparison, I can't tell that it's any better than the excellent TJ's pineapple juice in cartons, and it's a lot more expensive. Will I buy it again? 1 + 1/4 carrots. 1/3 lb spinach. 2 inches of ginger. 1/4 lemon. The red juice is sweeter than the green juice and is, of course, absolutely delicious. Beets really sweeten things up! Despite the sweet taste, it's only 20 calories more than Trader Joe's green juice (for the entire bottle!) and it, too, offers an excellent source of Vitamin A.
