The closing of Woody's Goodies food truck at Hingham Shipyard last week marks the end of an era, and while owner James Wood and his popular food service will be missed -- and he will miss his loyal customers -- he's looking forward to a new adventure.

Nov. 19, 2021. James "Woody" Wood, owner of Woody's Goodies food truck in Hingham, Massachusetts, raised over $2,000 for the Toys for Tots program run by the Marine Corps. The fundraiser was in honor of Gary Wood, a cousin and Navy veteran, who died earlier this month, according to a Wicked Local report. Gary Wood dressed as Santa for 37 years.

It is exactly what happened on Jan. 2, when ice damaged part of the dock. Crews have been out working to fix it, but as of Thursday, service had yet to be restored.
